How to choose a motor for an FPV drone?
The choice depends on drone size and flying style. The key parameters are the stator size (for example 2306) and the KV rating (rpm per volt).
Stator size + KV by application
- 1102 to 1404, 6000 to 8000 KV, Tinywhoop and 2 to 3 inch drones
- 1507 to 1806, 2700 to 4500 KV, 3 inch Cinewhoop
- 2204 to 2207, 1700 to 2500 KV, 5 inch freestyle on 4S
- 2306 to 2407, 1700 to 2500 KV, 5 inch racing on 4S to 6S
