Why do you need a LiPo safety bag?
LiPo batteries are powerful, but when damaged or charged incorrectly they can cause a fire, the so-called thermal runaway. A safety bag significantly mitigates this risk scenario.
Using a safety bag
- During charging: always charge LiPo batteries in a safety bag and never leave them unattended
- During transport: protects the rest of the gear in your backpack if a battery fails
- During storage: keep damaged or puffed batteries in the bag until disposal
How to choose the size?
- Small bags: 1 to 2 batteries in the 4S 1300 to 1500 mAh format
- Medium bags: 3 to 6 batteries or larger 6S 2200+ mAh formats
- Large bags: for carrying a full set of batteries to the flying field
