Propeller Guards
Propeller guards (prop guards or bumper rings) enable safe flying indoors or close to people; they protect the surroundings from spinning props and reduce damage to the drone on contact. Ideal for Tinywhoop, Cinewhoop or when teaching beginners. See also FPV drone propellers.

When to use propeller guards?
- Training new pilots: reduces the risk of damage during beginner crashes
- Indoor flying: protects walls, furniture and people nearby
- Filming near people: required by safety regulations and common sense alike
- Micro drones: on Tinywhoops, ducts are an integral part of the design
Types of propeller protection
Prop guard (cage)
An open plastic cage around the props: lightweight, airy and easy to mount. The standard for beginners and indoor flying on smaller drones.
Duct (enclosed guard)
An enclosed prop guard integrated into the frame, typical for Cinewhoop drones. It offers higher safety but slightly reduces aerodynamic efficiency.
Bumper ring
A soft rubber ring around the whole drone that absorbs impacts against walls or obstacles. Ideal for micro drones flying in tight spaces.
