Long Range Series
Long range FPV drones are optimised for maximum range: with a modern ExpressLRS system they fly kilometres away and bring back footage from places you could not otherwise reach. Ideal for terrain exploration, route flyovers and remote monitoring. Complete your setup with receivers, drone antennas and GPS modules.

What are Long Range FPV drones?
Long range (LR) drones are specialised FPV platforms designed for maximum flight range, typically 5 to 30 km, most often with ExpressLRS. TBS Crossfire remains a reliable, though nowadays less widespread, alternative. Compared to racing or freestyle drones they feature an aerodynamically efficient design, efficient motors and high-capacity batteries.
Typical uses
- Exploring and documenting remote terrain
- Flying along routes and linear infrastructure
- Monitoring nature reserves or farmland
- FPV tourism, footage from remote locations
Technical requirements
For long range you need a quality RC system:
- ExpressLRS receiver: an open protocol with a range of 30+ km
- TBS Crossfire (CRSF): an industry standard for long range
- Directional antennas: significantly extend signal range
- GPS module: essential for failsafe RTH if the signal drops
Long range flying requires piloting experience and knowledge of airspace regulations. Before your first long distance flight, study the rules for flying and plan your route within a safe zone.
