How to choose a propeller for an RC plane?
The right propeller depends on motor power, battery cell count and airframe geometry. The wrong choice leads to motor overheating or insufficient thrust.
For electric motors
Propeller diameter depends on the motor's KV (rpm per volt). As a general rule:
- High KV (2000+): smaller props, higher rpm, shorter flight time
- Low KV (400 to 1000): larger props, more thrust, more efficient flight
For combustion engines
