Fixed Wing Motors
Fixed wing motors are designed for efficient thrust with a large propeller: typically lower KV and higher torque than drone motors. The range includes the proven SunnySky X and T-Motor AT series, Hobbywing and Pilotix for models from foam gliders to large fixed wings.

How a fixed wing motor differs
A plane does not need the lightning-fast RPM changes of a drone, but steady, efficient thrust. That is why these motors use lower KV, a longer shaft for folding propellers and robust bearings. The right combination of motor, propeller and battery determines your flight time.
How to choose
- Model weight: motor thrust should match the weight and flying style; for relaxed flying a thrust to weight ratio of about 1:1 is enough
- KV and propeller: lower KV with a bigger propeller flies more efficiently, which matters for long range FPV planes
- Shaft diameter and mounting: must match the motor mount of your model
You will find propellers in fixed wing propellers, flight controllers with INAV in fixed wing FC and complete aircraft in fixed wings.
